On Saturday 7th November 2009 Burscough F.C. will celebrate the Kick racism out of football campaign's weeks of action by holding a flag day at the home fixture vs. Whitby Town. Local M.P. Rosie Cooper will be guest of honour at the match and will start proceedings at 1.30pm by unveiling a sign at the entrance to the ground affirming that not only the football club but the whole community stand united against racism.
100 flags have been made especially for the event, many of which have been customised by local children and an indoor exhibition featuring artwork created for the event by all 5 local junior schools will be unveiled.
The junior section will also be well represented on the day with members providing a guard of honour and entertainment in the form of mini soccer both before the match and at half time.
Admission prices for this game have been reduced with under 16s gaining admission for £1. and family tickets, admitting 2 adults and 2 children are priced at £15.
We are extremely proud to be one of only 32 organisations and the only supporters club nationally to have been granted funds by Kick racism out of football to stage this event. We hope to have a bumper crowd on Saturday and create a carnival atmosphere inside the ground. Flags will be distributed on the day but we would like anyone who has an old B.F.C. flag to bring them along.
The supporters club have again linked up with the new Community Cafe based at Burscough Bridge Railway Station to promote the event and anyone making a purchase from the Cafe this week will be entered into a free draw to win one of five family tickets for the fixture.

So where are all those old Green and White flags that were flown so proudly at Villa Park? Can we all please do our best to dig them out for Saturday? If you haven't got a flag then wear your hats, scarves and badges or better still make a flag and bring it along.
Regardless of events off the pitch Andy and the players both need and deserve our support and Saturday gives us the perfect opportunity to get right behind them.
If for whatever reason you are unable to attend the game on Saturday please use this thread to register your support for the Kick Racism out of Football campaign.
Thanks.
Spanner.

I have just had confirmation from Elliott that the Juniors who will be entertaining us on Saturday are the under 7s boys (pre match) and the under 9s girls (half time). Thanks and good luck to them. Please give them your support.
